Responsibly Raised
For generations, the Langenfelder family has taken great pride in raising high quality hogs to provide nutritious, wholesome, and tasty pork for our customers. Our pigs are raised in barns to provide them with year-round comfort, protecting them from weather extremes in the summer and winter. Our sows live in a barn with large pens where they are free to walk around during their pregnancy. We grow all of the corn for the hogs on our farm and make the feed on-site. Our crops are grown using the most up-to-date conservation practices to protect and conserve our soil and water. We utilize the manure from the hogs as an organic source of nutrients for the corn crop. The Langenfelder family is very committed to protecting farmland and has enrolled our land in the Maryland Ag Land Preservation program.
